Nestled right on the banks of Ormesby Broad, The Boathouse is surrounded by tranquil water, native reedbeds and rich wildlife – creating a beautiful, idyllic backdrop.

The structure includes a spacious decked terrace that extends over the water, offering ample space for ceremonies, photos and al fresco receptions. From the gentle water reflections to the wildlife backdrop, every element feels intentionally curated to create a vivid, memorable experience

The Boathouse interior exudes a serene contemporary style with cool, calming colours, clean lines and elegance – harmonising with the natural surroundings.

The ceremony takes place under a charming outdoor arbour, tucked right beside the tranquil Ormesby Broad surrounded by lush reedbeds, creating a naturally romantic setting for up to 120 loved ones.

Alternatively, if the British weather isn’t on your side, the Ceremony Room is a wonderfully light and airy space with sliding glass doors ensuring you have an uninterrupted view of the broads – it too hosts up to 120 guests.

Post-vows, adjoining The Ceremony Room is The Breakfast Room for your seated reception. This space can comfortably accommodate up to 120 people seated on round tables with crisp contemporary linens, and boasts striking fixtures, fittings and modern furniture. The room offers the perfect space (up to 250 guests) from which loved ones can head to the dancefloor which is next to a private bar.

Between the two main rooms you will find the reception and private bar area which is perfect for drinks and canapés or, of course, guests can head out onto the decked terrace for an al fresco do.

When tying the knot here, couples can choose a unique arrival by boat! Travelling across the broad aboard the venue’s Edwardian-style launch named Gentlemen Jim, wedding couples can then step onto the jetty and make a grand entrance to remember. This dramatic approach and the jetty itself, make for especially stunning wedding photos. Mini boat tours are also available for your guests to enjoy whilst at your wedding.
