People have lived, worked and celebrated on the site of Dragon Hall, in Norwich, for more than 1,000 years. Now, the Dragon Hall team are delighted to invite couples to celebrate their marriage within the historic walls of its majestic Great Hall.
The Great Hall is the heart of Dragon Hall, a rare example of a Medieval trading complex, built in 1427 by merchant, Robert Toppes. In the Great Hall, you get the perfect marriage of beauty and history; constructed with English oak from some 1,000 trees, with seven bays that were originally decorated with colourful carvings – of which only the eponymous dragon remains – it provides a sumptuous backdrop for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts.
Celebrations continue in the contemporary Foyle Gallery, a bright glass gallery overlooking the Medieval courtyard garden, with an impressive brick arch as its backdrop. It is a versatile space, perfect for reception drinks and dancing.
Dragon Hall is available for a limited number of dates throughout the year, and offers a generous fixed-rate wedding package, giving couples exclusive-use of the venue over three days to ensure everything is as stress-free, and as perfect as possible.
Once a site for displaying and selling Norfolk goods and imports from Europe, Dragon Hall is now home to the National Centre of Writing and trades in stories. All funds raised through weddings at Dragon Hall go to support the organisation's charitable work and the upkeep of Dragon Hall.
