Nestled amid a 3,000-acre rolling deer park, you'll find Holkham Hall, an 18th-century mansion with the grandest of staterooms, each as captivating as the next. From the sumptuous Saloon with its gilded coffered ceiling and rich caffoy walls, and the suitably roman Statue Gallery, to the showstopping Marble Hall with its 50ft domed ceiling, towering columns and sweeping staircase. Its splendid colonnade was inspired by the Temple of Fortuna Virilis, while the breathtaking ceiling is reminiscent of the Pantheon, both in Rome. Overseeing your ceremony from the niches above are statues of ancient Greek and Roman Gods, brought home from Italy by the first Earl of Leicester.

Palladian in style, Holkham Hall boasts a grand exterior. Its iconic south façade, with a breathtaking portico overlooking the parterre gardens and Grade II listed fountain, makes for a perfect backdrop.

Couples can tie the knot in The Marble Hall with up to 170 loved ones, The Statue Gallery (100) or al fresco in the Temple with 25 loved ones, and a further 100 guests outside. Tucked away in a Bohemian Woodland among ancient trees the Temple lends itself perfectly to a more relaxed whimsical wedding.

Post-vows, The Lady Elizabeth Wing seats up to 200. Originally built as a Victorian bowling alley it's steeped in history. Alternatively, dinner for 150+ can be held in one of three marquee locations: Holkham by the Lake, a magnificent setting, the Walled Garden adds an enchanting, botanical feel, next to The Temple romantic and whimsical.

Holkham has just a limited number of wedding dates available each year to ensure every couple receives undivided attention. The team are on hand throughout the whole planning process and on the big day itself to guarantee that you have an unforgettable day
