Foodies will delight in it's tantilsiing brunch options, pancakes stacks piled high with bacon and maple butter, the Ultimate Breakfast bagel is loaded to the brim, or wake up your tastebuds with the Breakfast Burrito – scrambled egg, Mexican beans, olives, Pico de Gallo, guac, mozzarella and sour cream, all wrapped in a flour tortilla! You must order Gastrono-me's signature golden Pain Perdu – a firm favourite at their Bury St Edmunds restaurant – fruity, nutty bread, dipped in 'custardy' heaven, fried until puffy and golden, with berries, crispy bacon, and clotted cream.
What's more, to make it an occasion to remember go bottomless for £35 per head! Enjoy unlimited MeMosas and your choice of a main included in the price.
Not just renowned for its brunch offering, lunch is just as exciting with a creative selection of sandwiches, salads, tacos, burgers, and creatively loaded dogs. The Korean Brisket Sandwich is a must – with low 'n' slow spicy cooked Asian beef, house kimchi, melting cheddar and Swiss in a bulgogi sauce. Or, recently brought back to the Bury menu after popular demand is the Indian Kati Roll – tandoori paneer, Indian potatoes, chutney, and raita, wrapped in an egg sizzled naan.
For starters, dive into the super retro '70s Prawn Star – king prawns, diced avocado and cucumber in a brandy-spiked cocktail sauce for a little nostalgia! Or share a mix of deep-fried pickles, Halloumi Fries and Padron peppers to get the tastebuds tingling.
Mains are downright delicious – from vegan tempura beer battered Avocado Tacos and spicily stuffed Bao Buns with crispy chilli prawns or pulled shiitake with a numami-laden black bean mayo. The 'Return of the Mac,' is a Gastrono-me classic, made with homemade bechamel, blended with taleggio, extra mature cheddar, and mozzarella balls for that ultimate cheesy pull, then baked in a skillet until bubbling hot.
If it's a comforting bowl of pasta that you're after the Funghi Malfadine is the perfect choice, ribbons tossed in a white wine and garlic creamy sauce, or for a spicy little kick try the Broccolini and Chilli Spaghetti with herby crispy pangrattato.
The fries are anything but ordinary – there's the ever-popular Vietnamese Loaded Fries smothered in peanuts, hoisin glaze, sriracha and mayo; the Molten Lava Cheese Fries are drowning in Gastrono-me's signature cheese sauce – and why not add some crispy bacon or chorizo into the mix?
The cocktails - changing regularly to reflect the seasons - off something for everyone whatever your tipple; from Here Comes the Sun with passionfruit and prosecco, to the Out of Office bursting with vodka, pineapple rum, banana and raspberry and mango juice.
