Norfolk wedding photographer Neil Coomber-Webb has been making the best of his time in lockdown settling into his new studio in Thetford in readiness for all the weddings to come.
Neil of Thetford Photography has been shooting weddings for the past three years travelling all over East Anglia and beyond. After starting out working from home, he moved into his first studio in December and has now expanded into new and bigger premises in Thetford..
"After a week of breaking down the first studio and moving into the new one at the beginning of March I had a couple of weeks before we went into lockdown. Although it's currently a rather under-used resource it's ready and waiting for all the new clients to come. I'm lucky to have a good landlord and backing so can survive which is reassuring for couples that have booked," says Neil.
Under normal circumstances he likes to deal direct with his couples and do everything face to face but during the current crisis has been holding all his introduction meetings via Zoom and other social networks in order to get to know his couples. "It's really important to make sure you establish a connection as having the wrong person to shoot your wedding can ruin the day. Having had that happen to me 20 years ago, I wouldn't want to do that to someone else," he adds. What's more, as an added bonus he now offers drone photography too.
