Swynford Manor, Cambridgeshire

Swynford Manor, black and white building, gravel drive, lawns, sunny day Credit: Milk Bottle PhotographySwynford Manor is a luxurious country house wedding venue offering a fusion of contemporary style and rural charm. Arrive down the gravel drive with plush lawns either side to catch your first glimpse of the distinctive timber-framed building. Step inside and the magic continues with a gleaming monochrome chequerboard floor in the hall and a huge crystal chandelier above the grand staircase; perfect for making a fairytale entrance. The rest of the rooms are dressed to match the chic black and white colour scheme with tactile touches including velvet wingback chairs and lush curtains.

Surrounded by seven acres of green lawns and paddocks, all neatly framed by trees, you can be sure of privacy on your big day. There's a choice of stylish spaces for your 'I dos', not least the Garden Room with its stylish décor, beams and sumptuous furnishings. You can exchange vows and after the drinks reception, sit down for a wedding breakfast for 150 people. The versatile space has a dazzling chequerboard dancefloor and room for a live band or DJ. You can host an evening reception for up to 220 people and party the night away, sip drinks at the adjoining bar or head off to the study for a little downtime or a fun-filled cocktail masterclass. The possibilities are endless!

We love... the pretty pergola for al fresco ceremonies with up to 150 of your nearest and dearest looking on from the outdoor seating area surrounded by the same majestic trees the famous poet Lord Byron once wrote under.
