Lauren McDougall married Matthew Large at All Saints Church Old Buckenham followed by a reception at the nearby country park on 18th August, 2018.
On one of our early dates we went for a walk and Matt showed me his village church and very proudly announced he'd marry me there one day.
We fell in love with Old Buckenham Country Park straight away as it was the perfect setting for the outdoor wedding we'd always dreamed of.
My dress was completely bespoke, I had several fittings and each time Alison and Paula made me feel incredible. They hand-sewed the lace, added beautiful buttons and created the dress I'd always had in my head, which made me feel fabulous.
The bridesmaids all wore the same pale pink long dresses.
We hired a vintage olive green Campervan which was amazing.
I spent many hours making lots of signs for the wedding as the little touches were really important and they really stood out.
Our wedding breakfast was a do-it-yourself afternoon tea including rustic bread, ham, cheese, quiche and salad followed by scones, salted caramel brownies, mini Pavlovas and Victoria sponges
Matt and his best man wore brown tweed suits while my cousin, who walked me down the aisle, and our groomsman Derek, wore navy and they all had the same light pink ties.
The cake was mainly Matt's decision. We went for cherry Bakewell, chocolate with salted caramel and lemon – all our favourite flavours.
We're very lucky that my sister Claire is a florist and she created the perfect floral arrangements.
We had garden games outside the tent and a family sack race later in the day, complete with prizes.
The photo booth was great fun and the pictures were amazing.
