December/January 2019/2020 |

It’s party poppers at the ready as we turn the page on the 40th ruby edition of Your East Anglian Wedding! With Christmas and New Year on the agenda as well for this landmark anniversary issue, we couldn’t be more excited to bring you all the latest news and wedding loveliness from around the region. Packed with fresh ideas and lovely seasonal weddings to excite and inspire you, there’s plenty to celebrate.
Personally, I love the festive season; romantic nights in snuggled around an open fire, mulled wine simmering on the hob and plenty of old films on the TV. It’s the ideal opportunity to embrace the hygge, a Danish ethos, which roughly translated, is all about simplifying things and enjoying the moment, bringing a mix of cosiness, charm and comfort into your life. Not only great for the every day, it’s a brilliant way of de-stressing the wedding planning too.
As December is also the most popular time of year for proposals, there’ll soon be a whole new wave of newlyweds-to-be embarking on their wedding journey and we’re here to help. This issue is packed with everything from top tips and advice from local experts (page 91), to what’s hot for 2020 brides (page 69) latest trends in wedding catering (page 63) and more. So put your feet up, get cosy and enjoy!
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year! | |

Kimbolton Castle
Be king and queen for the day in your very own castle at this one-of-a-kind wedding venue. It boasts a fascinating history. Some of the Tudor remains are still visible and the many outstanding features include a collection of fine Pellegrini murals. Approached by a winding tree-lined mall, the castle is set in 120 acres of parkland and fields, complete with a picturesque lake and pond. Wedding parties enjoy exclusive use of the four main state rooms. Ceremonies are held in The Saloon, which is then transformed for the evening reception with space for up to 250 loved ones. Wedding breakfasts for 125 friends and family are catered for in the White Hall.
