Luxury 35-room seaside retreat The Swan, Southwold is launching thee new packages, ideal for a pre- or post-wedding break.

Each package celebrates the very best of the Great British seaside, tailored to guests on the hunt for a beachside staycation - perfect for newlyweds-to-be looking for some coastal downtime or for a hit of high-octane adventure with their bride tribe or boys' squad.

New experiences include a gourmet beach-hut afternoon tea; stand-up paddle boarding, guided kayaking and canoeing tours; wild swimming in the North Sea, kite surfing at nearby Kessingland Beach and guided walks exploring the Suffolk surrounds.

The Seaside of Yesteryear package includes butlers on the beach, on hand to organise picnics and afternoon tea in one of Southwold's sought-after beach huts; complete with local produce from the hotel's recently launched Still Room menu.

Afternoons can be spent crabbing, amber hunting, exploring Southwold Pier or cooling down with a legendary Harris & James ice cream. As the sun begins to set, The Swan's butlers will organise fish and chips on the beach from the town's renowned Little Fish & Chip Shop followed by VIP tickets to the Electric Picture Palace in Southwold, showing Richard Curtis' upcoming Suffolk-based musical, Yesterday, throughout the summer months.

For couples in need of some downtime, The Swan's newly introduced Coastal Contemplation option is just the ticket. Leave the wedding admin behind and enjoy sunrise stand-up paddle boarding and gentle yoga on Oulton Broad, where The Swan's butlers will be waiting with a warming cup of tea and freshly baked pastries.

Return to the hotel for a light lunch before embarking on The Adnams Way, a bespoke walking route created by the team at the hotel. Key sites include the banks of the River Blyth, nearby Dunwich or The Swan's sister properties, The Harbour Inn and The Bell Inn Walberswick, both located along the way. Return for an early evening sleep-inducing 'head in the clouds' treatment at The Swan's wellness partner, Blush & Glow, before an early evening dinner at The Still Room.

Adrenaline junkies will love The Swan's Active Exploration package featuring a number of al fresco activities. There are self-guided canoeing and kayaking experiences to help you get your bearings in the area surrounding Snape and Aldeburgh on the river Alde estuary, while Southwold's high-speed Coastal Voyager boat provides a 30-minute tour of Sole Bay. Return to the hotel for an al fresco lunch at the Tap Room's just-opened summer pop-up offering regional specialities including a fish platter with Adnams Rising Sun gin-cured salmon and other delicacies.

Back on dry land, Kessingland Beach is great for kite surfing, while Southwold beach is the perfect spot to try your hand at a spot of surfing.Prices start from £420 based on two sharing, subject to availability.Owned and run by the family behind the iconic Adnams brewery and distillery, The Swan overlooks Southwold's lively market square.
