Romance on the menu at Suffolk wedding venue

Bedford Lodge, Newmarket's luxury wedding venue, hotel and spa, is offering a romantic experience for couples this Valentine's Day.

The hotel's award-winning restaurant Squires, will be serving a three-course set menu, complete with a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival from 14th to 16th February.

For those looking to extend their getaway, the venue is introducing two luxurious Valentine's packages which will be available throughout the month. The first of the special overnight offers includes a three-course dinner at the Squires restaurant, an overnight stay in a superior room, a complimentary bottle of chilled Moet & Chandon Champagne and a box of luxury Hotel Chocolat chocolates in your room on arrival, plus – the perfect ending to a romantic retreat - a delicious full English breakfast.

The Ultimate Luxury Valentine's Day package features an upgrade to a luxury suite, chocolate-dipped strawberries on arrival, and the inclusion of a bouquet of six red roses.

The hotel's Valentine's Day menu has been created with love by its award-winning executive head chef Sean Melville and includes signature dishes such as sautéed wild mushrooms and truffle, seared fillet of turbot and lobster ragout, and passion fruit crème brûlée.

Sean comments, “Creating this year's Valentine's Day menu has been a true pleasure for myself and the team. Our kitchen team provides all of the catering for weddings at our venue and it's always wonderful being able to create memorable dishes to make people's big day extra special – it's exciting to replicate this for couples on Valentine's Day.
