Cambridgeshire wedding cake maker Michelle Carpenter has turned her hobby into a career.

After making celebration and wedding cakes for family and friends for nearly 20 years she's now set up The Holme Cake Company offering original bespoke creations.

Since launching the business Michelle has joined the Sugar Craft Guild and has been busy promoting her services at local wedding fairs.

She says, “All my wedding cakes are handmade, including the sugar flowers and decorations. Each one is original, created after consultations with my couples to discuss their ideas.”

She also supplies cupcakes, pop cakes and macarons to complement the wedding theme and is planning to run sugarcraft classes in the future.
