How do you find the perfect venue to make your wedding a winter wonderland? By analysing Instagram hashtags, Protectivity has revealed some of the most popular winter wedding venues in Britain to enjoy your big day.

Planning a wedding can be a job in itself, from the venue to the flowers and the table plan, to keeping your guests and your other half happy. How do you pick a venue that is unique, beautiful but most of all, has that magical winter vibe you've been looking for?
With an average of 80 million photos uploaded every single day, Instagram is one of the most popular online platforms for photo sharing, and with your wedding day being one of the most important days of your life, it comes as no surprise that the wedding hashtag has been used over 125 million times.

Using a number of seed lists for the most favoured winter wedding locations across Britain, Protectivity Insurance has analysed a selection of venues on Instagram to discover which ones are the most popular.

So, if your looking for your perfect winter wonderland venue, and want somewhere that offers something a little magical, explore some of the best winter venues in our map here. Britain is home to some spectacular wedding venues in beautiful locations from Norfolk to Maidenhead in Berkshire to, of course, our beloved capital city. But how many times have these “winter” wedding venues been hashtagged for those tying the knot?

The top ten most popular winter venues are:
1 Kew Gardens, South London, 409,567 Instagram uses
2 Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, 75,209
3 Luton Hoo, Luton, 12,664
4 Cliveden House, Maidenhead, 10,778
5 Holkham Hall, Norfolk, 8,818
6 Great Fosters, Surrey, 8,308
7 Hedsor House, Hedsor, 6,964
8 Kings Chapel, Amersham, 6,361
9 South Farm, Royston, 5,718
10 East Quay, Kent 5,158

It may come as no surprise, that whilst being a unique venue to host your wedding, Kew Gardens in South London came top with over four hundred thousand hashtags, with couples enjoying the botanical feel and explosion of festivity. It's the grand Chatsworth House that takes second spot. As home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, it's understandable that couples would want to book the venue for their special day. At the bottom of the list, the venues are equally interesting and beautiful with the likes of East Quay Venue in Whitstable Harbour with direct sea views and Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire attracting couples across the country.

From lavish country houses to tudor farms, there really is something different in here for everyone to stand out among the masses. Sean Walsh, marketing manager from Protectivity Insurance comments, “Your wedding day is a day to be remembered, and your venue should be too. The venue is extremely important, as ultimately if something goes wrong with your venue, or it's not quite right, it can have a huge impact on your big day. It's great to see people exploring beyond the norms to make their day that extra bit special”
