Escape to one of the finest hotels in Suffolk

Escape to one of the finest hotels in Suffolk: Image 1

Nestled within the beautiful Medieval village of Lavenham, the stunning 15th-century luxury hotel, The Swan Hotel & Spa in Lavenham, is steeped in history but perfectly combines its heritage with contemporary sophistication - evident across its bedrooms and suites, first-class restaurant and indulgent spa.

Social media assistant, Beth Morton, shares all the details of her wonderful stay...

"There's something very homely about The Swan Hotel & Spa in Lavenham. Upon entering the hotel, you're greeted by a wonderful smell of a burning log fire, complemented by cosy furnishings, wooden beams and stylish plaid materials, making you long for a dark winter's night.
"This hotel is seemingly modest from the outside but actually boasts an abundance space, winding corridors, and cosy nooks and crannies, a contrast to the sophisticated and contemporary Weavers' House Spa.

"Our stay included a visit to Weavers' House Spa. After being treated to a delicious vegan berry smoothie, we were introduced to our attentive therapists and enjoyed a relaxing 60-minute Drift Away and Work it Out massage. It was utterly divine, but my favourite part of the experience was the wonderful Breath of Life Aromatherapy Inhalation Essence placed beneath the bed to clear my mind and relax my body - pure bliss!

"Our treatments were followed by a visit to the relaxation suite for a cup of tea and a tasty macaron. We mustered up the energy to head down to the spa's secluded vitality pool - where we also enjoyed the sunset. While my better half finished off his experience with a steam and sauna, I took to the changing rooms to shower down. I had forgotten to bring my make-up remover so was delighted to discover that the extremely stylish shower facilities were equipped with facial cleansers, moisturisers, make-up remover, cotton pads, hairdryers and many other little perks that made sure I finished my experience feeling clean, refreshed and like a new woman!

"It was then time to dine in its two AA Rosette-awarded Gallery Restaurant. To begin, our starter looked incredibly artistic adorned with beautiful edible flowers, while the mains of beef and venison were deliciously tender - the best we've ever tasted. The piece de resistance was our peanut butter chocolate Marathon dessert, with a personalised chocolate plaque congratulating us on our anniversary. And... if that wasn't enough, a cheese board and port was served thereafter!

"This restaurant deserves its two AA Rosette awards as the entire experience was absolutely delightful.

"After a peaceful night's sleep in our wonderfully spacious room, we returned to the Gallery Restaurant where we had the option of a continental buffet or delicious cooked breakfast.

"The Overnight Spa Experience at The Swan Hotel & Spa in Lavenham is perfect for catching up on quality time with your loved ones; be it your husband-to-be, your newlywed wife or getting together with the besties for a pampering hen-party. I can't be sure who you'll take with you, but I can be sure that you'll leave feeling well-attended to and very refreshed!
"See more beautiful snaps from my stay across our social media channels".
