Take time out from the wedding planning and join in the first anniversary celebrations at University Arms, Cambridge.
To mark its first year since reopening, the landmark venue is offering exclusive rates and birthday treats throughout August with rooms available from £111 per night and suites from £365 per night, in honour of the number of days since the hotel was relaunched.
Hotel guests will also be welcomed with special surprises in their rooms. What's more, if your birthday's in August too, you can celebrate with a complimentary signature Bloomsbury Boozer cocktail, courtesy of the hotel's destination restaurant Parker's Tavern. Headed up by chef Tristan Welch, the quintessentially British tavern serves creative twists on traditional dishes, made from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.
Located in the historic heart of the city, University Arms reopened in August 2018 following a major two-year, £80million transformation by classical architect John Simpson and interior designer Martin Brudnizki.
The hotel boasts 192 beautifully designed rooms and suites, an impressive library, underground valet car parking and fitness facilities.
It offers a wealth of stylish wedding spaces too, including the grand ballroom, featuring stunning Edwardian-style chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows, period oak panelling and a fully sprung dancefloor.
You can tie the knot here and celebrate afterwards and for those all-important photos, the hotel opens on to Parker's Piece, a popular green space in the centre of Cambridge. There are several university college gardens within walking distance too, as well as the picturesque Grantchester meadows.
