Hedingham Castle is one of the most romantic wedding venues in the country. The unique setting of a 900-year-old Norman Keep, a Georgian Mansion House, immaculate landscaped gardens and a beautifully appointed Ballroom Marquee, all set in the privacy of an 160-acre tree lined estate providing peace, privacy and the freedom to believe that dreams can come true. Ceremonies are held in the Banqueting Hall of the Keep, from where the newly married couple lead their guests to the Mansion House over the Tudor Bridge. Champagne is served in the Great Hall overlooking lawns sweeping down to the ornamental lake.

This majestic castle stands in the heart of its ancient ramparts and medieval park, which have evolved into beautiful landscaped gardens. Privately owned by the Lindsay family, descendants of the Earls of Oxford who built it, Hedingham Castle is romantic, magnificent and timeless.
Rich in history and owned by the same family since the 12th century, Hedingham Castle exudes romance, atmosphere and legacy.
Manor house, Stately homes
The Mansion House at Hedingham Castle is early Georgian style and impressive in stature both inside and out. Wedding guests can enjoy cocktails on the lawn overlooking the manicured gardens and tranquil lake.
Ceremonies are held in the magnificent candlelit Banqueting Hall of the Castle for the ultimate wow factor. You can also choose to hold your entire day within the Castle itself - the atmospheric Tapestry Room provides a magical setting where up to 70 guests can dine in a setting of Medieval splendour, with dancing through the evening on the Garrison floor.
Wedding Marquees & Tents
All ceremonies take place by candle light in the magnificent and romantic Banqueting Hall of the Keep.
Following the ceremony, drinks are served in the Great Hall of the Georgian Mansion House from where the newly married couple lead their guests through a covered walkway to our permanent and newly refurbished Marquee on the Tulip Lawn, where up to 150 guests can dine in a setting of classic elegance. A concealed dance floor and bar make the evening complete. Carriages are at midnight.
