The Assembly House
This Georgian gem is set in the heart of the city and oozes historic charm. The ideal setting for a fairytale wedding with its fabulous frontage, fountain, sweeping driveway and award-winning gardens, your guests are sure to be wowed.
With a choice of stunning rooms for weddings large or small, the only dilemma is which one to choose. The newly decorated Music Room provides a wonderful light-filled space and boasts sparkling chandeliers, detailed cornicing, a minstrels’ gallery and a balcony – perfect for romantic just-wed shots. Licensed for ceremonies, it boasts its own dancefloor, a stage and bar, not to mention a Steinway grand piano. You can tie the knot here and celebrate afterwards with a wedding breakfast for 100 guests and evening do for up to 140 loved ones.
For more intimate affairs, the Hobart offers pretty views of the fountain and courtyard and has a feature fireplace and impressive sash windows. While for those with a bigger guest list, the Noverre Ballroom is the largest function space. A breathtaking big-day backdrop, thanks to its high ceilings and crystal chandeliers, you can exchange vows and then wander out through the French doors into the secret garden for an al fresco drinks reception. Afterwards, sit down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast with up to 152 family and friends followed by an evening celebration for up to 250.
